Most of the requests in a letter from 100 manufacturing groups submitted to the incoming Trump administration late last year have been granted, according to reporting by The New Lede.
The publication reported Oct. 9 that the administration has fulfilled at least 23 of 29 requests for regulatory changes and policies included in a December letter to Trump spearheaded by the National Association of Manufacturers.
The requests included loosening air quality regulations and halting plans to make new rules for perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), known as “forever chemicals” because of their health effects and persistence in the environment.
