The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is holding public meetings across Texas this week and next regarding a proposed 690-mile natural gas pipeline.
The DeLa Express Pipeline, a 42-inch-diameter line transporting liquids-rich gas, would cross 3,473 tracts of land on its route from west of Odessa, Texas, to Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. The pipeline company, Moss Lake Partners, has said the gas would help satisfy a growing demand for export from LNG terminals in Southwest Louisiana and Moss Lake’s own proposed Hackberry terminal to export natural gas liquids from Cameron Parish, Louisiana.
