The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) will hold two meetings in August on plans to expand the Plaquemines LNG facility that shipped its first cargo in December.
Venture Global, the company behind the liquified natural gas export terminal southeast of New Orleans, in March announced an $18 billion expansion of the facility, the eighth export terminal of its kind to begin operating in the U.S.
FERC will hold two meetings to gather input on the scope of issues to address in its environmental review of the expansion.
The first will be 5-7 p.m. Aug. 12 at the Belle Chasse Auditorium at 8398 LA-23, Belle Chasse, LA 70037. FERC will hold another meeting 5-7 p.m. Aug. 13 at the YMCA Port Sulphur at 278 Civic Dr., Port Sulphur, LA 70083.
