Plans continue to expand for a proposed natural gas liquids pipeline stretching from near the Texas-New Mexico state line into Southwest Louisiana.
The DeLa Express pipeline would transport components of natural gas, such as ethane, propane, and butane, used as fuels and raw ingredients in plastics and other chemicals. The pipeline would consist of a 645-mile main line, seven new pipeline laterals totaling around 164 miles, and seven new compressor stations. It is expected to cross more than 3,000 properties on its route from West Texas to markets in and around Lake Charles, Louisiana.
The project is undergoing an initial review by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, with the company, Moss Lake Partners, expected to apply for FERC authorization in February 2025. The pipeline’s updated route is now available for download on the Oil & Gas Watch database.
