Targa Resources is planning to expand its Grand Prix pipeline system in the Delaware Basin of West Texas, the company said in recent filings.
Houston-based Targa is planning to expand its Grand Prix pipeline system, which transports natural gas liquids from the Permian Basin, which contains the Delaware Basin, to its processing complex in Mont Belvieu, east of Houston. Natural gas liquids include ethane, propane, butane, and other liquid components of natural gas used as fuels and raw ingredients in plastics and other chemicals.
Targa disclosed its plans for Delaware Express, a 100-mile expansion of pipeline 30 inches in diameter, in a Feb. 20 news release. The company has not shared details of its proposed route but expects the expansion to begin operating in late 2026.
