The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is giving a Houston-based company another five years to complete a proposed liquified natural gas (LNG) export facility in Florida.
On Sept. 10, 2024, FERC granted a five-year extension of time for the Eagle Jacksonville LNG Facility proposed along the St. Johns River north of Jacksonville. Eagle LNG Partners now has until Sept. 19, 2029, to build the facilities and place them into service.
Once constructed, the facility is expected to be able to produce up to 1million tons of liquefied natural gas annually. The facility is planned by a subsidiary of the Energy & Minerals Group, a private investment firm that owns energy and mining interests around the world.
